Christian Counseling, Education & Resources
STATEMENT OF FAITH
We, After the Rain Counselors believe in and provide Biblically based, Christ centered counsel to those who seek the same (2 Corinthians 5:20).
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe the gospel of Jesus Christ teaches that we love one another, forgive one another, and that we share one another’s burdens (1 John 4:12).
We believe man possesses a sin nature, and as a result he has fallen out of fellowship with God.
We are therefore saved, restored back to God, by Grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, not by our own works or morals (Ephesians 2:8-9).
We believe God has by design established man with a body, soul, and spirit and all three areas need to be considered when dealing with the difficult issues of life. (I Thessalonians 5:23).
We believe Counseling services at After the Rain must be offered in accordance with a foundation of scriptural authority and inspiration (I Tim. 4:6).
We believe man is created in the image of God and that human life is sacred to God (Genesis 1:26).
We believe all Christian Counseling activities at After the Rain must be conducted in accordance with God’s word (Colossians 2:8).
We believe those people who come to us for Christian Counseling and assistance do so fully aware that our ministry is based on the word of God and its power to restore and heal lives
(Acts 3:18-21).
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent and co-equal in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in his inauguration of the Kingdom of God, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory to consummate the Kingdom.
Finally, we believe that Jesus Christ will one day return to reclaim His church and those who believe in Him, until that day we will continue to minister in His name to all who have need and desire help (Mark 9:41).
