Overview

At After the Rain Ministries, we believe that no one should have to pause their healing journey for lack of resources. Our Sponsorship Program connects generous sponsors with clients in counseling, funding each client’s full 16 week Counseling & Discipleship Program. Through prayerful discernment and faith, we evaluate sponsorship on a per-session basis. This means counselors review each client’s commitment weekly to decide if support continues. We ask clients to honor this opportunity with “great value, honor, and commitment” – treating their sponsorship as a sacred trust for themselves, their sponsor, and God.

Our mission is to uplift both clients and sponsors. Clients receive the help they need without financial burden. Sponsors experience the joy of partnership, seeing firsthand how God works through generosity. Together, we witness transformed lives and renewed hope.

How It Works

Weekly Counseling Sessions: Clients attend their scheduled session and diligently complete any assigned work each week. Counselors monitor this progress closely.
Counselor Evaluation: Each week, the counselor reviews the client’s dedication. The counselor then decides if sponsorship will be renewed for the next session. This ensures clients remain committed and use the opportunity wisely.
Ongoing Commitment: Clients must remain fully committed. If a client begins to show a lack of effort or misses assignments, the sponsorship may be paused or discontinued. This accountability helps everyone honor the opportunity.
Video Updates: To keep sponsors connected, clients create three short videos: an introductory video to invite potential sponsors, a thank-you video after a sponsor comes on board, and a final testimony video at program completion. These videos allow sponsors to see the impact of their gift and stay involved in the client’s journey.

Becoming a sponsor is a special calling. By sponsoring a client through After the Rain, you partner in someone’s healing journey. Your gift covers the cost of a full 16 week Counseling & Discipleship Program. Sponsors receive personal video updates from the client – first a warm thank-you message, and later a heartfelt testimony at completion. This personal touch makes the experience deeply rewarding and faith-building. Many sponsors say they feel blessed to watch a life change unfold through their prayers and support.
